These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the enrollment in and use of the services provided by Stirling Chinese School ("the School," "we," "us," or "our"), a Chinese language school offering in-person and/or online language instruction. By enrolling in classes, accessing our materials, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.1 Students may enroll in courses subject to availability and meeting any stated prerequisites.
1.2 For students under the age of 18, enrollment must be completed by a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on the student’s behalf.
1.3 The School reserves the right to refuse or cancel enrollment at its discretion, including for conduct that disrupts classes or violates these Terms.
2.1 The School offers Chinese language instruction, including but not limited to Mandarin Chinese, at various levels and formats (group classes, private lessons, online sessions, workshops, or cultural programs).
2.2 Course content, schedules, instructors, and teaching methods may be modified as needed to maintain educational quality.
2.3 The School does not guarantee specific learning outcomes, exam results, or language proficiency levels, as progress depends on individual effort and attendance.
3.1 Tuition fees, registration fees, and any additional charges will be clearly communicated at the time of enrollment.
3.2 All fees must be paid in full by the stated due date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.3 Fees are non-transferable and may not be applied to another student without the School’s written consent.
3.4 The School reserves the right to change its pricing at any time; however, confirmed enrollments will not be affected by price changes during the enrolled term.
4.1 Student-Initiated Cancellations (Before Course Start):
Cancellations made at least 7 days before the course start date may be eligible for a refund, less any non-refundable registration or administrative fees.
4.2 Student-Initiated Cancellations (After Course Start):
Once a course has commenced, tuition fees are generally non-refundable. No refunds will be provided for partially attended courses.
4.3 Missed Classes:
Missed classes due to personal reasons, illness, holidays, or scheduling conflicts are non-refundable and cannot be credited unless otherwise stated in writing.
4.4 Make-Up Classes:
Make-up classes may be offered at the School’s discretion and are subject to availability. Make-up classes have no cash value and may not be rescheduled multiple times.
4.5 Private Lessons:
Private lessons must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged in full. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged as completed lessons.
4.6 School-Initiated Cancellations:
The School reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to low enrollment, instructor illness, force majeure, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, students will be offered a rescheduled class, course credit, or refund at the School’s discretion.
4.7 Refund Method:
Approved refunds will be issued using the original payment method and may take several business days to process.
5.1 Students are expected to attend classes on time and participate respectfully.
5.2 Disruptive, abusive, or discriminatory behavior toward instructors or other students will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the course without refund.
5.3 Students must comply with all School policies, including online class etiquette where applicable.
6.1 All teaching materials, including textbooks, handouts, videos, audio recordings, and digital content, are the intellectual property of the School or its licensors unless otherwise stated.
6.2 Materials are provided for personal educational use only and may not be copied, recorded, distributed, or shared without prior written permission.
7.1 For online courses, students are responsible for ensuring they have a stable internet connection and compatible devices.
7.2 The School is not responsible for disruptions caused by technical issues beyond its control.
7.3 Recording of online classes by students is prohibited unless explicitly authorized by the School.
8.1 Students must comply with all health, safety, and facility rules while on School premises.
8.2 The School is not responsible for personal belongings lost or damaged on its premises.
9.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the School shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in its courses or use of its services.
9.2 The School’s total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount of fees paid by the student for the relevant course.
10.1 The School collects and uses personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
10.2 By enrolling, you consent to the collection and use of your information for educational, administrative, and communication purposes.
11.1 The School reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time.
11.2 Updated Terms will be effective upon publication on the School’s website or notification to students.
